Immerse yourself in the Age of Discovery: After a long, arduous sea voyage, your ships have reached the coast of an unknown island. It shall be called Catan! But you are not the only explorers. Other intrepid sailors have also landed on the shores of Catan: The race to settle it has begun! Fortunately, the land is rich in resources. Lay out roads and build new settlements, which will eventually become cities. Will you succeed in achieving dominance over Catan?
At the beginning of the game, you form the playing field with hexagonal landscape cards. Catan is born: an island surrounded by sea with mountains, pastures, hills, farmland, and forests.
Getting started with this classic game is quite easy: After just one page of rules, you can get started – there is a small almanac for future questions and details. Alternatively, you can start playing directly using the "CATAN Board Game Assistant," which is available free of charge from all major app stores.
