This precision-ground drill bit made of HSS steel drills 40% faster and requires 50% less contact force than conventionally ground HSS drill bits. The shank is cylindrical (the shank diameter corresponds to the drill diameter). It is used with drill stands and drill drivers. The ground HSS twist drill drills in metal with the highest precision. The self-centering drill bit with split point and a 135-degree point angle enables perfect centering without wandering. The split-ground drill bit eliminates the need for center punching or pre-drilling up to 10 mm in diameter. It is suitable for drilling holes in alloyed and unalloyed steel, cast steel, cast iron, sintered iron, malleable cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and hard plastics.
