Festool has combined EC-TEC motor technology with intelligent motor management, thus significantly advancing the product. The brushless EC-TEC motor operates wear-free and converts the battery's energy into power with virtually no loss.

This gives the C 18 an enormous level of efficiency in its performance class. In addition, the electronic motor management system guarantees a longer service life. Microprocessors monitor and control the temperature, voltage, and current consumption of the motor, electronics, and battery. • Precise work • The handy and perfectly balanced C-design allows for very precise positioning thanks to the handle's position in the drilling and screwing axis. • In short: The torque setting and shut-off are integrated directly into the patented compact gearbox. This saves space and ensures maximum power transmission.

As with all Festool cordless drill/drivers, the bits on the C 18 can be inserted into the direct spindle mount.

The new Festool Li-Ion 5.2 Ah battery pack with AIRSTREAM. The new AIRSTREAM technology guarantees faster reuse of the battery packs and thus uninterrupted work – even with energy-intensive applications such as sawing. This is because the new battery packs feature an integrated cooling channel, which, when used in conjunction with the new SCA 8 rapid charger, shortens the cooling time and thus the entire charging process by up to 65%. They are also extremely robust, with an integrated rubber frame to protect the workpiece and the battery pack, and thanks to the charge level indicator, the remaining capacity is always directly visible.

The new TCL 6 and SCA 8 rapid chargers with charge level indicators charge quickly and are gentle on the battery. The SCA 8 fast charger (included with the Plus SCA and Set versions) also features AIRSTREAM technology, which shortens the charging process by up to 65% through targeted cooling of the battery pack. An LED display on the device provides information about the remaining charging time in minutes and the charging status.
