The bolus provides the animal with sufficient calcium around calving and thus reduces the risk of milk fever. CALCITOP is a rapidly dissolving calcium supplement with a high calcium content and is fed from the first signs of calving up to two days after calving.
Dosage
- 2 boluses 12 to 24 hours before calving
- 2 boluses immediately after calving
- 1 or 2 boluses as needed 10 to 12 hours after calving
- 1 or 2 boluses as needed 24 hours after calving
Dosage after a calcium infusion
2 boluses 2 hours after the infusion and another 2 boluses 12 hours after the infusion
Scope of delivery
1 pack of 12 boluses of 85 g
Note
- In case of calcium and phosphorus deficiency, combine 1 CALCITOP and 1 PHOCALTOP bolus in one application and your animal will receive 37 g of calcium and 19 g of phosphorus in one go.
- Feed with a suitable bolus applicator.
- Do not use on lying cattle.
- Do not reuse broken or damaged boluses.
- It is recommended to seek the advice of a feed expert before first use.
