This boat type dates back to the 17th century. It enjoyed its heyday as a fishing boat from the 18th century until the advent of motorized fishing boats. The Nordland boats were incredibly effective and very seaworthy. They represent a boat culture and shape that originated in Viking ships. These boats are still being built today and participate in meets and regattas along the Norwegian coast.
The kit is based on classic frame construction. All wooden parts are precisely laser-cut. A 1:1 blueprint, assembly instructions, and all wood, plastic, and fittings required for assembly are included.
