The cherry laurel "Green Torch" is particularly well-suited for planting in an evergreen, opaque deciduous hedge. It can reach a height of up to 250 cm and grows upright and compactly. From May to June, this insect-friendly plant produces simple, grape-shaped flowers whose bright white color stands out against the dark plant. The "Green Torch" is winter hardy and tolerates pruning very well. It prefers a sunny to partially shaded location. The plant does not have great soil requirements; normal substrate is perfectly sufficient. It therefore also makes a great signature container plant or bee pasture. It is the hedge form of the popular Otto Luyken variety.
