The drilling aid is conical in shape. It has an external thread with which it is screwed into the existing drill hole. It is fixed in place with the screwing aid. This ensures that the drilling aid sits securely in the drill hole, even when working overhead. The centering drill of the hole saw is inserted into the centrally located steel bushing of the drilling aid. This provides the hole saw with the necessary guidance, ensuring the new hole is centered and aligned with the existing hole. After drilling, the drilling aid can be removed. The existing hole can now be enlarged with perfect centering – the hole is positioned exactly where it should be.
