The repeller generates an extremely loud, sinusoidal ultrasound, which martens, rats, etc. find very annoying and which the animals avoid as much as possible. The sounds are inaudible to humans.
The base unit is waterproof according to *IP65 and can also be installed outdoors. The connected power adapter must be plugged into a power outlet in a dry place.
