Recycled cartridges are fully compatible with the original product and offer at least the same, but usually higher, capacity because the cartridges—unlike the original—are completely filled. Empty original cartridges are cleaned, wear parts replaced, and the cartridge refilled with quality ink and tested. Some printers recognize that the cartridge is already used and immediately display it as empty, but continue printing without issues. However, in some cases, devices with a fax function have encountered problems where received faxes stored in memory cannot be printed using these recycled cartridges, which are recognized as empty—all other functions work perfectly. Since there is currently no solution to the problem described, as an owner of such multifunction devices, you are left with no choice but to use original cartridges, at least temporarily for printing your faxes.
