Poser une question pour en savoir plus sur le produitGrassland harrows or meadow harrows ensure a healthy turf and better quality grass silage.
Maintaining permanent grassland, such as pastures and hay meadows, includes towing in spring. The short tines of the grassland harrow remove thatch from the turf, thus stimulating the growth of valuable forage grasses. Additionally, applied manure such as manure and slurry are evenly distributed, reaching the grass roots more quickly and preventing them from contaminating the forage later. Molehills are also leveled, preventing the valuable first grass cut from being ensiled with excessively high crude ash levels.
As soon as the grassland is grazed between cuts, or when many moles are active, the area should be towed with the smooth side of the net. This specifically prevents excessive crude ash levels and increases the forage value of your grassland.
High-performance grassland stands should be dense, weed-free, and produce energy-rich forage. Depending on the intended use, grassland requires adapted turf management.
If not towed, the soil and possibly manure content in the forage increases, which can lead to a crude ash content of up to 10%.
