with 360° Effective Radius & Waterproof to IP65
The Advantages:
IP65:
Previously, the marten's entry area could only be secured to a limited extent, as the marten repellent devices had to be installed in the engine compartment, protected from dirt and splash water. By achieving protection class IP 65 (water and dirt resistant), our M2700 device can now be mounted directly at the animal's entry points to the engine compartment.
360° Efficiency:
Using a directly coupled ultrasonic structure-borne sound generator, the curved surface of the housing is set into vibration. Thus, the entire dome of the device serves as a loudspeaker membrane, achieving an effective radius of 360°!
This method has previously been used in submarines (sonar), among other things, but is completely new in the field of marten protection.
Ultrasonic waves propagate forward like light, i.e., the sound is barely audible behind obstacles or to the side.
With the M2700, the sound waves are now emitted in all directions, providing all-round protection against martens!
Aggressive sinusoidal tones:
The M2700 generates pulsating, very intense sinusoidal ultrasonic tones. These aggressive tones are mimicking the natural warning and fear cries of wild animals and are perceived as extremely annoying by martens, who therefore avoid them whenever possible. The tones pulsate with varying amplitudes, preventing the animals from becoming accustomed to them. In addition, the pulse technology used ensures extremely low power consumption.
Technical data:
Sealing: Waterproof according to IP65 = Protected against water jets from any direction against the housing
(corresponds to 12.5 liters/minute, test time approx. 5 minutes) & Protection against the ingress of dust (dust-tight, with a negative pressure of 20 mbar in the housing).
Radiation angle: 360 degrees, reaches every corner in the engine compartment from which the dome of the marten deterrent can be seen.
Sound pressure: approx. 110 dB ± 10%
Sound shape: sine, very realistically corresponds to the warning cry of predators in the event of danger
Ultrasonic frequency: pulsating 22 kHz ± 10%
Speaker: ultrasonic structure-borne sound generator, which causes the semicircular elevation/dome on the device to vibrate (similar to a submarine sonar system)
Duty cycle: aggressively pulsating with amplitude variation against habituation
Power consumption: < 2mA Ø
Operating voltage: 12 V= (11....14 V car battery)
Display: Function display via 2 flashing LEDs (additional deterrent for nocturnal animals)
Dimensions:approx. 85x53x42mm (without cable connection piece)
